The TechVest is incredible. It’s lightweight and functional. I love the way that I have access to everything. I’m not fishing around in the vest for my flies, my wet flies are on the left and my dry flies on the right, gink floatant, pliers, tying tools and weights sit in the middle. I know where everything is at all times. When I’m done using them they just slide back into place without fumbling around. The rod holder actually works, this one is strong enough to hold the rod so you’re not worried that it’s going to fall in the water. In the back it has a removable stuff bag to keep things dry and the backpack has a mesh at the bottom so it drains and dries out better than a solid vest. There are 5 good strong hooks in the back for different net positions. I like mine off the highest left position. The TechVest rides high so you don’t get it wet when you go in past your waist. Most other vests are like wearing a coat in the water and weigh an extra 4 pounds when you get them wet. A wet vest gives me a sore neck and back when I fish all day. My favorite feature in the Fall is the hand warmer. It definitely makes fishing more enjoyable to be able to warm up my hands. I wanted to compliment you on your new vest design. It was so interesting to see your article in the Gazette. We have been fishing for a few years now and have found the traditional fishing vests to be worthless and uncomfortable. Last month I went to numerous places looking at new chest packs. They were OK but missing what I would like. I was looking for a light weight chest pack that would have a zip off pack in the back for hike in trips or to carry a jacket. Not a permanently attached back pack. I did not like the single center compartment that most have as I need room for at least two full size fly boxes as well as all the miscellaneous. I do not like having a lot of stuff hanging from my vest or neck as it gets caught up. I said to my wife that we should design a new vest with all this in mind and YOU beat us to it. GOOD JOB !
